Becoming Your Sister's Keeper
Sisters Keeper Partnership:
Sisters Keepers are our transitional emergency accommodation partners. They are women & families who are willing to set aside a room or a few rooms in their homes as our partners for their sisters who are fleeing domestic abuse and need to escape in an emergency.
Sisters keepers are our lifeline partners. The names, addresses and telephone numbers of our sisters keepers are never revealed to anyone. Room can be provided for a short period of between 1 day to 1 week maximum whilst we make a more permanent arrangements for the victims and their children.
Sisters keepers are asked to host such women alone or with their children depending on the room[s] available. Our Sisters keepers can be men or women, pastors, ordinary you & I or hostels, hotels, church community others. Short notice will be given and access to the keeper’s home may be anytime of day or night as this is an EMEGENCY RESPONSE service.
There are strict rules and qualifying guidelines for all parties so that the safety of hosts are not compromised and the safety & vulnerability of victims are not exploited. This is an unpaid service. Keepers are encouraged to help save lives. We screen participants and ensure that they have adequate facility and are in a position to be a sisters keeper.
There is no way to express the satisfaction that keepers get from being able to be of service in helping to save lives and for taking part in the healing, rescue and restoration of broken women & their children in times of great distress and trauma.
Jesus said; in Matthew 25:40 that;
"The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
