JHM-SCOTLAND :

JHM Home For Children - India

Below are information about the Jannet Hopewell Homes For Children in India.

Whats are the current plans & objectives?
We plan to raise funds from the year 2021 onwards for the expansion of buildings at the Jannet Hopewell Home For Children in India. Jannet Hopewell Home For Children was registered in India on 26th of July, 2006
[Registered No.343/2006] and has catered to many orphans since then.

All of them come from similar backgrounds. The children will live together in a purpose built home situated on one campus and cared for in a homestyled eniviroment where they will be loved on by forster mothers and caring staff. The children currently attend school together, eat together and grow up alongside eachother, being raised as champions of hope in the face of hopelessness that surrounds them. We aim to break ground for construction by December of 2018.

As such we are seeking funding, project partners, volunteers, helpers and those who feel called by God and whose hearts are moved to help us achieve this goal. Please get in touch with us and join hands with us for this special mission assignment. It is a noble cause that will transform many lives!

JHM-SCOTLAND RUNS THE JHHC PROJECT:
Effective from 02 January, 2018, JHM-Scotland took over the management of both homes in India but due to financial constraints, we have not been able to do so effectively as we should. The homes are under the supervision & management of appointed trustees. We currently have 40 children we care for (boys & girls) in India.
They are divided between our homes at Veeralakapalli & Kothapalli villages in India. They are from impoverished and destitute backgrounds. Some are street children and others came from mothers who work in the sex trade or single parent mothers who are very poor farm labourers. The hostel to be built will be an accommodation for disabled oprhans & able body orphans.

Why is there still a need for an orphanage in the 21st Century?
Sadly we live in a world where poverty is endemic and where many are marginalised and left to perish whilst other live in great abundance. Indeed, there are varied reasons why a child becomes homeless, destitute, live in poverty, hunger or suffer abuse. Some of the children we support in India were abandoned, without parents, neglected, without support or are children of prostitutes, HIV infected parents, impoverished farmers and are found to be in need of desperate help and urgent intervention.

OUR ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINE:
  • Child must be living in apparent poverty/destitution.
